What is the best way to train a system? In short, you would want a solution that provides hands-on experience but also gives memorable and specific guidance to keep the user engaged and on track. Training environments provide some benefits and simulations provide others, but what if there was a way to combine the best of both worlds into a realistic simulation that served all your needs using programs that you probably already have and use?

In this session you will learn how to convert your training environment scenarios into effective and realistic system simulations using Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate as the main builder. You will be provided with templates, a storyboard, edited files, and everything else needed to build the simulation in the hour. We will also share take-home materials so that you can recreate this type of solution at home.

In this session you will learn:

  • How system simulations can be a viable and even superior alternative for many scenarios
  • How to use Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate to create the actual simulation
  • How to enhance the simulation experience using Storyline functions such as triggers and animation
  • What other programs you can use to enhance your simulation that you may already have access to

Technology discussed:

Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, TechSmith Snagit, Adobe Photoshop

Participant technology required:

Participants will need to bring a laptop with access to Articulate Storyline 360/Storyline 3 or Adobe Captivate. They will also need internet access to be able to download files.
