608 How to Write Your First eLearning Storyboard Like a Pro
2:30 PM - 3:30 PM
Thursday, April 13
Tracks: Development & Tools
Series: Instructional Design Summit
Designing an eLearning course is a lot like building a house. Before construction begins on a house, a blueprint is drawn to show how each room will be laid out. This lets the future homeowner make changes before construction begins. The same concept applies to eLearning, with a storyboard letting you outline all of your course content word-for-word before you begin development.
In this session, you’ll explore how to write an eLearning storyboard from beginning to end, including when to use the different types of storyboards, how to start by creating an outline, what to include in your storyboard, tips for storyboarding various slide types, and much more.
In this session you will learn:
- What an eLearning storyboard is and why to use one
- How to create a course outline
- How to storyboard various slide types
- Tips for reviewing your storyboard with stakeholders and SMEs
Technology discussed:
MS Word, PowerPoint, Articulate Storyline, Rise, Camtasia
